Eve of the Walk

Jessica’s Footprint is very much ready and organized for our big day tomorrow! I think the only thing that isn’t looking so great is the weather.
The walk has no rain date.
A WALK IN THE PARK is rain or shine. I hope all of you will still come out with your umbrellas and possibly your rubber boots. We have lots of food and entertainment and I’m hoping the storm system holds off!!

HOPE TO SEE YOU AT THE PARK

Thank you Wendy for providing this opportunity for me to get off my duff and participate in such a worthy cause. You and Rob set such a good example and inspiration to thousands of parents in Guelph and area. Your little angel brought us just the right amount of sunshine to get the day in. I am proud to have participated for the first time, and I look forward to next year.
God Bless
Charlie

Even though the weather brought a rough start, I think I can honestly say the registration area was “electric” with excitement - and not from the lightening!
Our family has participated in many walks over the years, but this one is ONE OF A KIND! Jessica’s memory and spirit was present to everyone standing in that field on Saturday morning, and throughout the entire event, the stories shared, the friendships made, the song, dance and laughter makes this event one of the most moving and inspiring experiences one could be so blessed to be a part of! In four years, Jessica’s Footprint, the community of Guelph and our surrounding area has raised more than a 1/2 million dollars - incredible, mind-boggling and something to be VERY proud of - I know I am.
Thank you Wendy, Rob, Alyssa and Sarah for sharing Jessica with us. All of you are amazing, inspiring and incredibly brave! You have turned the saddest days of your lives into a powerful movement of love, awareness and giving! I am so thankful to you and your family for allowing us the opportunity to be a small part of Jessica’s memory.
If you have never had the opportunity to witness this amazing day, I challenge you to step on the grounds of this park for 10 minutes at the start of this walk - you will NOT leave untouched by what you witness. See you in 2010!
